40 Years of Cultural Exchange!
The Foreign Artists Exhibition (FAE) is back for its milestone 40th year, and Central Japan's international community has every reason to celebrate! This beloved showcase, which has connected hundreds of international artists with tens of thousands of local visitors since its founding, has become a cornerstone of cultural exchange in the Chūbu region. FAE has truly made the Nagoya International Center a crossroads for cultural exchange, and this anniversary year promises to be extra special, welcoming both longtime participants and fresh faces to share their creativity with Nagoya.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 28 through Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Nagoya International Center (4F Exhibition Rooms 1–3). The exhibition runs 10:00–18:00 daily, with the final day closing at 16:00. Admission is completely free, making art accessible to everyone in our community. The week culminates with a closing ceremony on November 2 at 17:00, followed by a reception for participating artists until 20:00.

A Celebration Four Decades in the Making
What makes FAE so special isn't just the art—it's the connections. For 40 years, this exhibition has brought together people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds in the heart of Nagoya. The relaxed atmosphere, complete with that famous coffee/tea corner, creates genuine opportunities for face-to-face conversations about art, culture, and life in Japan.
Whether you're an artist ready to share your vision, a volunteer eager to support the community, or simply someone who loves discovering new perspectives, there are exciting ways to be part of FAE's 40th anniversary celebration. This milestone exhibition is shaping up to be a celebration worthy of four decades of bringing our community together through art.
