Join the community for an unforgettable day at the 34th Chubu Walkathon International Charity Festival on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Meijo Park, near the historic Nagoya Castle! This isn't just a walk—it's a vibrant celebration of community and culture featuring a jam-packed schedule of entertainment and activities that make it a can't-miss event.
The International Community Gives Back
The Chubu Walkathon and International Charity Festival, which traces its roots back to the Nagoya Walkathon and International Charity Festival, was first held in 1992 in Nagoya.

Robert Roche, Harry Hill, Henry Gomez, and Seisho Kondo were instrumental in founding the Walkathon.
The Chubu Walkathon and International Charity Festival was a brainchild of the American Business Community of Nagoya (ABCN), a group that later merged with the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) in 2000 to form the ACCJ Chubu Chapter. This annual event stands as a testament to the international community's commitment to Central Japan and its local charities.
Over the course of its 34-year history, the Chubu Walkathon has raised millions of yen, a testament to its significant contribution to various regional charitable organizations.

Get Your Tickets!
Experience the profound joy of giving while immersing yourself in a day full of activities at the Chubu Walkathon! The ticket system is designed to ensure a fun, engaging, and charitable event, allowing you to feel the satisfaction of making a difference.
Raffle Tickets
Your Gateway to the Event
Instead of an entry fee, attendees purchase a raffle ticket — ¥3,000 for adults and ¥1,000 for kids and students. These tickets not only grant you access to the event but also offer a chance to win fantastic prizes. Every yen from your raffle ticket purchase supports local charities, transforming your event entry into a generous donation.
Food & Activity Tickets
More Than Just Fun and Food
Once inside, all purchases for food, drinks, and activities are made using special Food & Activity Tickets, sold in sheets of ten for ¥1,000. These tickets are the only currency accepted by vendors and activity booths—cash isn't an option for these purchases. Moreover, a significant portion of your spending using these tickets goes directly to charity: 10% to 20% from food and merchandise and 100% from activity tickets.
Please note that there are no refunds on unused tickets; any leftovers are considered donations.
Cash Transactions
While most of the event is ticket-based, bring some cash for purchases at charity-operated booths, additional raffle tickets, or exclusive Walkathon T-shirts. Just remember, cash transactions are limited, so having both tickets and a little extra cash will ensure you can partake in everything the Walkathon offers.
Why It Matters
Every ticket purchase, whether for raffle entry or food and activities, is a direct contribution to our charities. The more you engage with what the Walkathon offers, the more you contribute to our community. Your participation is not just about having fun. It's about making a real difference in the lives of those we support. It's a win-win: enjoy a day of fun and festivity, knowing that your participation is invaluable.
Make Memories
Join the Chubu Walkathon for a day of fun, festivity, and giving back! Your participation promises a memorable day and supports valuable local causes.
