"EURYDICE" by Sarah Ruhl
Theatre Iridescence has announced open auditions for their upcoming production of EURYDICE, written by Sarah Ruhl. This modern re-imagining of the classic Greek myth offers a hauntingly poetic exploration of love, loss, and memory—told uniquely from EURYDICE's perspective.
The play will be staged at Chikusa Playhouse in August 2025, and Theatre Iridescence is calling on performers of all experience levels to be part of this journey.
Auditions will take the form of a workshop, so there's no need to prepare anything in advance—just come ready to dive into a creative process! Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement (such as sportswear or t-shirts) is encouraged, as participants will be asked to actively engage throughout the workshop.
For those interested in attending, the audition will be held at DanceCompany Jazzcolle (https://www.jazzcolle.com/), located in Chikusa-ku. The venue is easily accessible—just a short walk from Imaike Station. (See map below for directions)
